The solution for this brand identity aimed to create a disruptive and distinct design that would differentiate the company from its competitors and embody its bold, rebellious nature.
Drawing inspiration from the punk aesthetic of the 1970s, particularly the iconography of the Sex Pistols, the design incorporates a vibrant and ambitious colour palette, which contrasts with the more muted, pastel tones commonly used by other florists. The typography employs a graffiti style, complemented by a bold, tabloid-like sans-serif font. This combination results in a powerful statement that aligns with the brand's mission.
The brand's tone of voice is unapologetic, further enhancing its punk-inspired identity. Additionally, the intertextual reference to an iconic punk song in the slogan enhances the brand's overall impact and brings it to life.
Upon our initial consultation Emma cut through all the noise to really understand what I was trying to achieve without me even knowing what it was I even wanted! An absolute genius!
And when she delivered the new brand, it quite literally brought me to tears (and this is coming from the person who has never really overly liked many designers work!) - It was everything I could have asked for and so so much more.
We have since continued working together (with no intention of ever stopping if she will have me) to create ongoing digital assets for our brand, and Emma has gone above and beyond every single time!
